谋略

最近在看柴宇球(南京陆军指挥学院副院长,少将)的一些谋略著作及录像,发现谋略从某种角度讲就是比别人多想几步,换言之就是有一个详细周密的计划,而这一计划的制订又需要有相当程度的相应的知识。柴的观点是“知多则识多,识多则智多,智多则谋多”,说到底还是得尽量多的积累知识,这样才能急中生智,而不是急中生汗。多智几下就成谋了。我觉得在SAP项目中,好的项目计划、好的cut-over plan、好的storybook,好的用户沟通都是谋略的体现。所以说到底还是得多积累知识,做事之前多想想,总是想投机取巧,那可比现在让股票解套还难:)

DIY Apple Mini + SAMSUNG LCD TV 有感

折腾了两个周末才算把我家客厅里的Apple Mini + SAMSUNG LCD TV 解决方案做完,结果还是有一个open issue。

 这个解决方案是想把我新买的Apple Mini 电脑和之前的SAMSUNG LCD TV 连起来,以实现在客厅的沙发上半躺着、双脚搭在脚凳上、看着40寸液晶屏,快速上网冲浪、欣赏高清movie、玩游戏等功能。说白了就是用一种腐败的方式折磨电脑。

 就是这样一件看起来很简单的事,却折腾了两个周末。首先是买苹果mini。对于这种知道的人不多、卖的人更少的“蹩脚货”,商家总是想狠狠的砍你一刀。我也不幸在买它的第一天中刀。稍有心理安慰的是,当我之后琢磨过味儿来的时候,我想好了对策;第二天,通过软硬兼施的交涉,我又向奸商讨回了450块。即使是这450块,那奸商刚开始还借口会计不在,不想给现金,想用其他低价货冲抵,结果被我严词拒绝,还是给了现金!由此,我不禁感叹,诚信在中国商界何时才能作为真正的准则?!

奸商处处设陷却只提供Apple Mini,怎么与电视连接起来并在沙发上享受还是得自己想办法。之前想过使用无线的蓝牙键盘及鼠标,但据奸商讲在3米的距离灵敏度太低,况且蓝牙的接收端在Apple的显示器上,而我要用液晶电视。于是我就买了有线的USB Apple键盘和鼠标。然后到另外一家专门卖线的柜台去想办法。这家老板倒是个痛快人,问什么问题都简洁明了的准确回答你;侃了价也很痛快的答应。用了不到300块解决了问题:1、要想有数字画质,需要通过HDMI线把电脑和LCD TV连接,还好都支持;2、要想在3米外的沙发上使用键盘,需要买两根5米长的USB放大线连在一起外加USB Hub,之后沿着墙根U字型从电脑连到沙发旁的茶几上。回家一搞,居然成功了。可后来看了Apple论坛上的一个帖子,人家老外直接买一个带鼠标的无线键盘,不会被几根电线烦来烦去。这使我感触有四:1、现在科技发展太快,这点儿小东东如果不去了解,你还就是不知道,看来不天天学习是不行;2、同样是商人,怎么就差这么多;3、做这种事之前应该充分了解一下,获取尽量多的信息;4、好多老外的动手能力比较强,据我所知,例如装修时家里的橱柜家具什么的,很多老外都是去宜家买回来,然后自己在家组装,而不像我们经常让专业工人来作。

 之前在买mini的时候,奸商可能觉得有些不好意思,为我免费升级了最新版本的售价一千多的Leopard 操作系统。苹果的界面真是太漂亮了,我敢保证你用过一次后就不太再想用XP了。苹果各种多媒体软件功能也很强大,界面漂亮且简单易用。不过我现在还是最喜欢用iTune下载高清的movie,用液晶电视看简直是享受!不过像我最开始时提到的,还是有个小issue,因为升级到了新版本操作系统,没有相应的软件支持,分辨率总是不能让人满意,清楚倒是清楚,就是苹果操作系统本应该显示的菜单跑到了电视之外,只能靠蒙了。看了相关的很多帖子,目前除了降级系统并安装相应软件外,别无它法。这主要是因为液晶电视制造商在研发过程中没有充分考虑到通过HDMI连接电脑后会产生的这个分辨率的问题。由此使我感到现在的科技是不是发展的过快了,即使是通用标准下的集成也会出现这样低级的问题。

 总之,我现在几乎天天回家腐败的折磨我的多媒体系统– Apple Mini+Samsung LCD TV,还有XBOX 360。尽管没有预期到老婆偶尔会来强占一会儿玩网游,尽管最近肚皮好像又大了些,我还是觉得这次DIY颇有收获。

The average IT budget will grow a mere 2.7% in 2006. On average, budgets increased by 15.0% in 1998, 15.9% in 1999, 9.7% in 2000 and 10.1% in 2001. Yet these spending levels were unique expenses related to Y2K, and were followed by radical slowdowns after the recession of 2000 to 2001. In 2002, IT budget increases averaged 1.3%, followed by 0% in 2003, 1.4% in 2004 and 2.5% in 2005. With the projected average growth of 2.7% in 2006, we see nothing on the horizon to suggest any change to a trend of increases below overall economic growth, as reflected by GDP growth rates. No new “killer applications,” new technologies, fundamental changes nor any revolutionary shifts will appear in the near term that could accelerate IT budgets faster than GDP. If the lackluster growth in IT budgets continues, enterprise executives will find it harder to conclude why IT services should be delivered by anyone other than external service providers. To offset this prospect, successful IT staffs will shift their primary emphasis from technical to business expertise and innovation. Among the key ways to accomplish this is to identify IT’s future role in business process management. Becoming true business innovators will ensure job security beyond merely demonstrating IT expertise.
